The Yorkshire Dales are famous for a number of things, but if you ask anyone who knows them to name any two objects that spring to mind surely they would name old barns and sheep.
The Dales are littered with old barns – most of them are remote (pity the poor farmers who had to trek the fields to get to these), and the thousands of sheep that roam these beautiful moors. Everywhere you go there are sheep.
I was driving from Middleham to Kettlewell yesterday and I took some photos of the barns and sheep around Great Whernside so you could have a look – so you can see how beautiful the high country is.
