Slowly winding it’s way over the hills, this old Drovers road leads from one Dale to another. Some of these old roads are hundreds of years old – some much older and were often used to drive sheep or cattle to market in another town, although some were later used by lead miners on their lonely walk to work in the mines.

They are a delight to explore and I have walked many many miles along their ruts. I never get tired of seeing them.
