This view is looking towards Arthington Viaduct in the distance, engineered by James Bray for the Leeds and Thirsk Railway circa 1850.

The stone in the foreground is probably prehistoric in origin, there being a lot of rock art in the area.

This is 10 mins from my house, and I often come and sit here and watch the sun go down.

Lovely, isn’t it?
