Dob Park is one of those mysterious places which gives me a chill. Not really a park – it is a bit of forest and a valley near one of the reservoirs outside the village in which I live.
It is regarded of a bit of an odd place by the locals and it is was reputed that the famous Timble witches used to meet here – being a mile or so away from their coven. A hundred years ago it was reported to be the home of a talking dog – who could converse fluently in a number of languages.
It also contains the ruins of a mysterious hunting lodge and a very old pack horse bridge (more about these later).
There always seems to be a mist over Dob Park – maybe from the nearby Lindley reservoir – maybe not. This was shot at Dawn when the mist is rising over the park.
