On Monday a friend of mine took me out for a drive in the Dales. I had been stuck in the house for nearly a month and I needed to get some air. We drove up to a favourite place of mine – Langstrothdale, and sat by the infant river Wharfe. Across the way the barns were nestled in a field of bright yellow buttercups.
A pub lunch at the ‘Buck Inn’ at Buckden rounded the afternoon off. A nice 3 or 4 hours spent away from home, and it also gave me the impetus to get my knees healed quickly so I can get back out hiking. My first full day without crutches too 🙂
