This time of year the fields are full of oilseed rape, and if you have never seen them ‘live’ they are an incredibly vibrant yellow. They are also very hard to photograph as they are so bright. I really had to turn the yellow down in this photo.

I was in Scotland most of last week, and driving up the A1 towards Northumberland  almost every other field was a vibrant yellow, and from a photographers point of view they work so well against the dark clouds and greens.

This was shot along a coastal path near St. Abbs in the Scottish Borders. Shirl and I followed it for a few miles and it really was superb.
