I am not particularly a summer person, I do prefer autumn and winter best. But those long evenings can be a delight, especially when the sun is going down and you get the golden hour.
There is a little outcrop of rocks a couple of miles away, and sometimes I go there to watch the climbers and the views from the top is superb. You get good views over Stainburn and the Wharfe valley towards where I live in the distance.
If you come when the light is right, the fields become almost luminescent, and you can watch mist roll in from the moors, following the line of the Wharfe.
It is just such a gorgeous place to be.
