I am in Northumberland having a short break with the lovely Shirl. We had been out for the day and came back to our lodgings at about 6 in the evening.
Shirl was getting comfy and had put the telly on. I could have settled down and watched it with her, or I could drive the dozen miles and revisit this place. I chose the latter.
This is Duddo stone circle, 5000 years of prehistory perched like a crown on top of a hill, with the stunning Cheviot Hills in the background.
We each have choices, Shirl has been here before with me and didn’t me mind me going again. She was happy to watch her Soaps, and I was happy to wander around here on my own. No one is right, and no one is wrong – it is just what we are happy with that counts.
